Ballet dancers at opening ceremony
The historic Mendelssohn Palace near Berlin’s Gendarmenmarkt is the new headquarters of Harald Huth’s real estate development company HGHI. A house with a great history, located directly at the Gendarmenmarkt was lovingly restored true to the original and is located in the heart of Berlin. The Palais was once the domicile of the Mendelssohn Bank, which was liquidated in 1938 under pressure from the National Socialists. The Mendelssohns were also known in Berlin as patrons of social and cultural projects and as patrons of the arts. Most recently, the Federal Association of German Pharmacists (ABDA) had its office in the prestigious rooms. The building, which was constructed between 1891 and 1893, features a counter hall with a domed roof, historic staircases and a gold room. HGHI moved into the palace with 130 employees and is thus the new company headquarters. https://europefashion.berlin/2017/11/18/historisches-mendelssohn-palais-feierlich-eroeffnet/
