What is New jack Swing, never heard of it yet ! New Jack Swing is the name of a music genre that emerged in the mid to late 1980s. The music genre was particularly influenced by the work of producer Teddy Riley. The term itself was coined by journalist and director Barry Michael Cooper in a 1987 article in the Village Voice.
