loop station A looper (or loops) is a technical device that can record and play audio tracks in a continuous loop. For this purpose, for example, a microphone or musical instrument can be connected to overlay continuously recorded audio tracks. For musical traditionalists, looping is a horror. Now the sound loops that make up electronic and hip-hop tracks are finally ending up in the open air: street musicians, classical soloists and performing musicians with so-called loopers are building up their own musical layer by layer and achieving amazing results.
